Louisiana PT Approval Status

Some continuing education (CE) courses offered by At Home Seminars are Pre-Approved for CE Credit for Physical Therapists and PT Assistants licensed in Louisiana because they have been approved by the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board.

CE Requirements for Renewal: Physical Therapists-30 contact hours biennially/Physical Therapy Assistants-30 contact hours biennially

CE Restrictions: 2 hours of jurisprudence (online or live) and 2 hours of ethics courses are required for renewal.   There are no restrictions on the number of hours that can be taken by home study/online sources.

Important Note: The LA PT Board discontinued the 50% restriction on home-study/online courses as of August 21, 2021. We currently have pre-approved approximately 25 courses, so please check the list below prior to placing an order for a course.

Louisiana DOES allow for licensees to submit courses on their own for $20 to the Board if they have not been pre-approved. This is only allowed however prior to 60 days before licensure expires. If you wish to take courses that have not been pre-approved, At Home Seminars will gladly assist you with the necessary paperwork to submit to the Board on your own.
